National veterinary research institute(NVRI) in NVRQS announced new vision for veterinary research and development
activities on 22. Jan. 2008.
The vision is "Leading of user-oriented core veterinary research activities."
The four action plans to achieve the vision are :
1. Focusing on the research projects to prevent of pandemic diseases such as HPAI, FMD, and BSE.
2. Strengthen the research activities for zoonoses to protect the public health and livestock industry.
3. Expand the research projects to support policy issues involved in livestock farming and public health.
4. Strength the research projects for high value products to create a new market for veterinary pharmaceutics.
In addition, NVRI is going to expand the resaerch projects not only on new diseases to be occured by global warming,
but also on the antibiotic resistance bacteria(superbacteria) in animals and their products.
