The National Veterinarian Research and Quarantine Service conducted a voluntary agricultural work in a sister village located in Gwandeok 2-ri, Jirae-myeon, Gimcheon city on June 12, 2007. 20 employees including Yang Chanbeom, a disease research director, actively participated in harvesting onions with full preparation as if they came back to their hometowns to help. At a gathering with villagers after the voluntary work, Mr. Yang promised to try hard to get a closer relationship with sister villagers in Gwandeok 2-ri as he was saying that it was as meaningful aday as the amount of sweat they shed in a hot weather.
