The National Veterinarian Research and Quarantine Service held a ceremony for the completion of Yongin sub-branch and vowed to provide better quarantine and inspection of imported meat products as well as proper handling of public petitions.
Up until then, the Yongin sub-branch has rented the facility in Icheon, Shingal or other places without a designated government building despite the fact that it has processed 78% of all imported meat products. With the opening of a sub-branch this month, it is expected to provide better quality services for public petitions.
The president Kang Moonil, in his congratulatory speech, encouraged Yongin sub-branch to proudly lead the way in providing the world-class comprehensive veterinarian and quarantine services that our people can trust through swift and precise handling of public petitions as well as a tightened collaboration with relevant institutions including the custom office.
The Yongin sub-branch is a compact two-story building located in Gimnyangjang-dong, Cheoin-gu, Yongin city with the total land area of 345 pyeong, the floor space of 140 pyeong and the construction cost estimated at 383 million won.
