I am Jung-hee Kim, commissioner of the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (APQA).

APQA is playing an important role in various projects such as import and export quarantine of animals, plants and livestock, animal disease quarantine and animal protection and management as well as research and development (R&D) to further protect and enhance our agriculture and livestock industries. In response to changes in quarantine situations triggered by an increase in global trade volume and climate change, we will spare no effort to become the best quarantine agency with professional competence both in name and reality. Our staffs will make all-out efforts to further develop APQA so that the people in our country could appreciate by actively communicating with them.
