Because of the importance of the livestock industry, the Mongolian Government has been carrying out various plans to build up the basis of the livestock industry and improve the system since 2001. As one of the plans of the Mongolian Government, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea, KOICA project entitled 'establishment of viral animal disease diagnostic center at the State Central Veterinary Laboratory' will be implemented for two years starting this year. NVRQS which contracted with KOICA for PMC(product management consultant) of the project will provide the equipments and the diagnostic kits to Mongolia and dispatch Korean experts in order to train Mongolian personnel for installing, operating, and maintaining the equipment provided by the Korean government. Also, Korean experts provide technical guidances and advice to Mongolian side in relation to the implementation and monitoring of the project. Finally, Korea invites Mongolian trainees so that they have an opportunity to enhance the capacity of their laboratory in Mongolia.
As the first training course, two Mongolian trainees are invited by NVRQS(in behalf of KOICA) and they are supposed to participate in lots of training programs over animal diseases and foot safety. Lecturers in NVRQS, who have numerous experiences in specific areas, will advise them on the management of animal disease and hygiene of livestock products and several field trips to various institutions related with veterinary industry well broaden their knowledge in the field.
The programs consist of two main categories that include in-class lectures and experiments on veterinary field related to animal diseases and hygiene of livestock products, which will help participants understand the importance of animal disease prevention and food hygiene system.
